BUSINESS CONTRIBUTION:

The successful candidate will work in a team environment and develop CNC programs and processes for equipment and Tooling components utilizing CNC controlled equipment & related software.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Run production on CNC Vertical Machinint centers and CNC Lathes
    • Follow Safety procedures
    • Load and unload material & tooling
    • Run Parts to production schedule
    • Start up and shut down procedures
    • Report on SAP
  • Set-up CNC Vertical Machining centers and CNC Lathes
    • Download programs
    • Determine and retrieve materials to be used
    • Override feed rates, and tool positions using G and M codes
    • Change tooling
    • Remove and replace cutting tools, & inserts
  • Perform routine Maintenance
  • Check oil/coolant levels
  • Clean interior & exterior surfaces
  • Sweep and mop floor
  • Keep work area Clean & clutter free
  • Troubleshoot programs for CNC Vertical Machining centers and CNC Lathes
  • Evaluate complex problems and determine causes and possible solutions. Resolve problems without support on the off shifts.
  • Adjust program as necessary to ensure conforming product
  • SAP Transactions
  • Data & Labor Entry
  • Other duties as assigned
     

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma required

 
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 5 years of experience with setup and knowledge of CNC Mill and Lathe machines
  • Certificate (Machining trade school)
  • Understanding of G&M code and manual CNC programming
  • Read and interpret blue prints utilizing GD&T
  • Program manually or use Mastercam computer aided software
  • Machine shop math and ability to work with close tolerances and super precision inspection equipment
  • Develop proficiency through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
  • Complete work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Develop proficiency in a range of processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks
  • Basic understanding of how the department integrates with others
  • Provide informal guidance and support to more junior Team Members
  • Provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
  • Impacts the quality of own work and its contribution to the department

AVAILIBILITY:

  • Must be available for all of the following shifts (rotating shift schedule):
    • Day shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Swing shift: 4:00 p.m. to midnight
    • Graveyard shift: Midnight to 7:30 a.m.
    • Or when assigned to a special shift determined by department needs
