The Safety Improvement Coordinator supports and assists with risk reduction processes, training, and regulatory compliance.



  • Safety Improvement and Workplace Risk Reduction
    • Assesses work place conditions for hazards and potential risks and implement corrective measures
    • Analyze incidents, risk assessments, team member observations, and team member suggestions and provide recommendations for reducing risk
    • Conducts occupational noise surveys, heat surveys and air sampling, as needed
    • Manages miscellaneous projects, as assigned, including justification, financial controls, cost, performance


  • Safety Compliance Programs
    • Maintain working knowledge of OSHA regulations
    • Support the review and maintenance of written EHS programs and associated record-keeping
    • Coordinate with Safety Improvement Manager and vendors to ensure that annual hearing tests, pulmonary function tests, First aid/CPR/AED trainings, current versions of SDS and any needed hygiene sampling is scheduled and maintained as required 
    • Conduct safety assessments and develop recommendations based on OSHA compliance
    • Attend Safety Improvement  Committee meetings on a regular basis
    • Coordinate the Emergency Action Plan for the Facility


  • Training
    • Ensures and conducts appropriate safety training for all employees. This includes but is not limited to: lockout tag out awareness, confined space, hazardous material awareness, ergonomics, laser safety awareness, evacuation, hot work
    • Develops and updates safety training programs
    • Partner and interact with various departments on the coordination and instruction of safety



  • Associate’s Degree in an Occupational Safety-related field required
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Occupational Safety-related field preferred




Knowledge & Experience:

  • Two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience working with OSHA and other regulatory entities for compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting safety training, accident investigations, and risk assessments (or job safety analyses) is required

  • Hours of work may vary as responsible for supporting all shifts, including some Saturdays
  • Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Additional overtime may be necessary to support business needs, reasonable notice will be provided
  • Available to work on site as required for the position
