BUSINESS CONTRIBUTION:

To manage the activities of the assigned area to meet the group goals, targets, and objectives for quality, cost, delivery, safety, the environment, and morale.  Acquire and/or develop resources, (both internal and external) to support work efforts to meet and exceed customers expectations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Leadership and coordination of the work team / work flow
    • Oversee maintenance of all organization's mechanical and building requirements
    • In-taking projects, assigning priorities to team and ensuring follow-through.
    • Developing and executing methods to measure progress and completion of projects, and making results visible to organizational customers.
    • Develop and review monthly budget.
  • Develop and execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM)
    • Lead project teams of cross functional members
    • Develop and execute TPM, PM, and work towards Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) for KC Manufacturing
    • Track and communicate progress
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Lead problem solving teams
    • Mentor employees in continuous improvement and problem solving skills
    • Implement improvement suggestions
    • Apply lean principles and tools
  • Leadership & Support
    • Select and train employees to meet cost, quality, delivery, safety, and environmental standards
    • Produce coaching, counseling, and career development
    • Assess individual and team performance, give feedback

EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a similar related field or equivalent relevant experience.
    • ​​​​​​​Four years of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in production and/or service related fields
  • Minimum of five years experience in related field
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership of team and department performance
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional, and quality manner
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express onself clearly and in technicial and non-technical terms
  • Creative thinker
  • Collaborative and effective team player and able two work in teams who are globally dispensed
  • Set a good example for personal integrity
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn, seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge learn from other team members and own mistakes
  • Take initiative, seek and act on opportunities to improve organization performance
  • Ability to translate specific goals into action and follow through to achieve goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)

 

AVAILABILITY:

  • Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks in duration.
